Exploring the World of The Mother Tongue Center

Course details

The Mother Tongue Center provides training courses for the development of the personality of teachers of Arabic to non-native speakers. We offer specialized courses for teachers of Arabic to improve their skills in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers to help communicating with other people with other cultures.The department of teachers’ training aims at:

• Preparing training courses in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
• Creating innovative teaching systems and methods adopting the center’s curricula.
• Making teaching aids depending on the systems of training courses.
• Developing a reputable job description for the job of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in all the specializations.
• Developing decent job description for trainers on Arabic teaching to non-native speakers.

Course details

Advanced Level Course for Learning Arabic Language is available with us. This program shall enable the students to not only have a better understanding of the language. The course details are as follows:

• Human rights, Arabic literature, culture, the importance of books in the spread of culture, the Egyptian Press, Medicine, the life of a famous physician, Euthanasia.
• Poems and proverbs in the Arabic literature, noble morals, humility and honesty, a short story.
• Economy, a famous economist, Malaysia, The Arabic literature, a short story, a poem, the Arabic civilization and a famous Arabic scientist, Media and its importance.
• Arabic poetry, Folklore, the history of Medicine, Psychiatry, Surgery in the past, a short story from the Arabic literature.

Course details

This is a Arabic language learning program of the Intermediate level. This program shall enable the students to not only have a better understanding of the language. The course details are as follows:

• The space and Man’s dreams in living outside the Earth, science and knowledge and the role of the human mind in them, the invention of ships, music and its effect at human, famous music, upbringing children and its difficulties, happiness in life, business and professions, media and acting, the role of the social institutes in serving the community as psychiatric hospitals and orphanages.
• Social arts and their importance, memories of the past, ancient civilizations, social classes, peace and war.
• Different cultures in the globe, plants in our planet, the palm tree, mathematics and its importance, a famous mathematician, discoveries in the past and the present, a famous spy, future dreams and human ambitions.
• Reasons, kinds and bad effects of pollution, natural phenomena, volcanoes and earthquakes, lunar and solar eclipse, ancient and modern civilizations, Petra and japan, building and construction, History and scientists, different types of water and the importance of water.

Course details

Pre Intermediate Level Learning in Arabic is done here. This program shall enable the students to not only have a better understanding of the language. The course details are as follows:

• Habits and daily activities, the house and its components, furniture, health and medicine, markets and shopping, sports
• Travel and tourism, a scientist’s life in the history of countries, food and dishes,
• healthy and unhealthy things, visiting a patient, pets and animals, types of clothes, industry and industries and the history of the industry of paper and glass.
• Tourism and discovering new countries, amusement and holidays, occasions and festivals, food and drink and the discovery of tea, astronomy and the life of a famous astronomer.
• Communications in the past and the present, good morals and bad morals, describing countries and the north pole and the history of Baghdad, differences between life in the past, present and the future, seasons and traditional habits in different seasons.

Course details

In this program the students learn to express themselves and their needs in a good way. We teach them to communicate with Arabs in a simple language& understanding and answering questions faced in everyday life. Training is done on reading, writing, and speaking in an acceptable way. We let the students become familiar with basic grammar in practice rather than theory.

Contents:

• The Arabic alphabet, pronunciation, reading and writing, numbers, simple questions, meeting and introducing new people, hellos and goodbyes, pronouns, comparing short vowels and long vowels, countries and languages, nationalities, travel, in the airport, in the train station, common social phrases.
• Transportation, directions, some prepositions, jobs and work, how to compose questions and how to answer questions, question words, phone calls, compound numbers, correspondence, members of the family, daily activities, time.
• Clothes, shopping, in the restaurant, in the kitchen, time, dates and appointments, people’s adjectives, shape and appearance, shapes and colors, rooms and sections of a house, furniture, renting a house.
• Shopping, demonstrative pronouns, agreement and disagreement, a job interview, seasons, time and date, months, days of the week, height and weight, life in the countryside, life in the city, possessive pronouns, family life.
• Senses, organs and parts of the human body, health, weather, animals, a parrot’s life.
• In the hotel, a tour, relics and historical sites, occasions, a graduation party, festivals, in the hospital, in the clinic, ambition and wishing, the future.
