Experience:I am a dedicated and experienced educator with a comprehensive background in teaching students from kindergarten through to post-16 education. I hold a degree in Primary Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and I am currently teaching in Dubai. Over the course of my career, I have gained extensive experience working in a variety of educational settings, and I am now eager to use my skills to offer personalised, one-to-one tutoring.
In my experience, one-to-one tutoring offers an invaluable opportunity to tailor lessons specifically to each student's individual learning style, strengths, and areas for growth. Whether working with young children in KG, primary students, secondary learners, or post-16 students, I recognise the importance of adapting my approach to suit the unique needs of each learner. In a one-to-one tutoring environment, I am able to provide focused attention, individualised instruction, and ongoing feedback, helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
My teaching style is student-centered and flexible, placing great emphasis on understanding each student’s needs and learning preferences. I believe that creating a supportive, nurturing environment is key to helping students feel comfortable and motivated. In one-to-one tutoring, this personalised approach allows me to build a strong rapport with students, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and encouraged to push past their challenges. Whether reinforcing concepts they are struggling with or extending their knowledge in areas where they excel, I aim to make every session engaging and productive.
In addition to my general teaching experience, I have significant expertise in working with students who have special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs (ALN). I understand that students with these needs require tailored strategies and patience, which I am able to provide in a one-to-one setting. By differentiating instruction and utilising a range of resources, I ensure that every student is given the best possible chance to succeed, regardless of their learning challenges.
My approach to one-to-one tutoring includes a combination of hands-on learning, collaborative problem-solving, and interactive technology, which keeps the student actively engaged and invested in their learning. I also focus on building a strong foundation of skills, such as critical thinking, study habits, and self-regulation, which are essential for long-term academic success.
