Experience:I have over 30 years of teaching experience in London, specialising in the primary education sector. I have worked as a supply teacher and as an educator at The Learning Hub in North Wembley, where I have also served as an Examination Officer.
My role includes preparing students for 11+ entrance exams for grammar and independent schools, covering subjects such as Mathematics, English, and Reasoning at the primary level, as well as ICT at the GCSE level. The Learning Hub is an accredited examination centre for Pearson, OCR, and Cambridge International.
Additionally, I have extensive experience in both one-on-one tutoring and leading group classes of up to 30 students, delivered both online and in person.
Approach:For the 11+ preparation, I have designed all lesson plans in advance, aligning them with the national curriculum. Each lesson begins with a subject being taught on the board, accompanied by example questions. Students are then given a homework sheet to reinforce their learning. The following week, homework is marked together with the students, and corrections are reviewed before introducing the next topic.
