Qualification:Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland at College Park
Experience:I have taught hundreds of students of different age groups in Computer Science theory, data structures, algorithms, and programming. I teach various programming languages from low-level languages like C to high-level languages like Javascript, Java, PHP and Python. I speak both fluent English and Arabic and I am able to teach in both languages. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland at College Park and I have over 3 years of tutoring experience as well as over 3 years of field experience in software engineering. With my students, I take a guided learning approach where we follow a lesson plan and work on small projects together to build on the lessons they have learned.
Approach:For each student, I put together a lesson plan that fits their needs. For example, if the student is looking to get started with programming, I build a lesson plan that involves learning the basics and provide small and easy-to-do projects, while a student who is preparing for an exam will have a lesson plan that entails their course material. During my lessons, I like to teach students computer science and programming language concepts and build small projects with them to apply the lessons they learned in order to drive their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. If a student is looking to learn how to get started with programming, needs help preparing for an exam, or needs help with existing work, I am able to help them regardless of the programming language they use.
