Experience:I have been living in Dubai for 5 years and have tutored mostly KS1 and foundation children - helping with all subjects.
Approach:I plan lessons based on the child’s needs. Often, parents would just like to do homework set by the class teacher. I need this information before sessions to plan accordingly. I bring manipulatives if necessary, as well as reading materials and other resources depending on what area the child needs to develop.
If the homework is not set by the teachers, I will read newsletters and communication sent by the teacher to see what they have been learning. We reinforce this learning and prepare for the next week's lessons so the child feels more confident with new topics and areas of learning.
