Experience:I am a qualified teacher with 7 years of experience teaching in the classroom as well as in a home tutoring capacity. I am a native English speaker from Ireland and qualified to teach Home Economics, also known as Home Science or Food Technology depending on the region. Additionally, I am capable of teaching Business Studies and Economics.
I have tutored both Primary and Secondary students and have also taught English as a foreign language (EAL) at an international school and online. I am a dedicated educator who is committed to helping each student reach their full potential.
Approach:I always aim to vary the content in my lessons to keep students engaged and excited about learning. I use worksheets, notes, videos, and exercises or games throughout my lessons. Each student is different with a different learning style, so I tailor my lessons to suit the learning style of the student in front of me.
If the student has an important exam coming up or is in an exam year, I would typically focus on the material that may come up in the exams by going through and actively working on past exam questions to ensure the student is familiar with the layout and styles of questions that can be asked.
