Experience:I have been teaching students since my college days back home in India. My pool of students varied from Nursery to 12th Standards under the ICSE curriculum. My area of teaching includes subjects like English and Hindi as primary, and I also covered subjects like History, Geography, Sociology, Environmental Studies, Civics, and Home Science.
Approach:I have been in the field of tutoring for over 4 years. When working with younger students in the primary sections from Nursery to 2nd grade, one must be able to connect with kids in order to make learning fun and engaging. It is crucial to recognize that each child is unique with different temperaments and learning abilities. Once you understand your students' individual learning styles, teaching becomes enjoyable.
With older students, it is important to maintain a friendly demeanor while also monitoring their academic progress. I ensure to thoroughly research the topics I am teaching so that I can help students comprehend the material rather than just memorize it. I believe in encouraging students to express their understanding in their own words, as this helps information stick in their memory for a longer period of time.
A hands-on approach to teaching is essential for senior classes in order to keep them engaged and promote better understanding of the subject matter.
