Experience:I have been teaching Psychology for over two decades, with a wealth of experience across different educational environments. For the past four years, I have been the Head of Psychology at a premium school in Dubai, where I’ve focused on fostering a deep understanding of psychological principles and engaging students in critical thinking. Prior to this, I spent 17 years teaching in the UK at both Colleges and High Schools, honing my skills in delivering complex material in accessible and stimulating ways. My extensive experience has equipped me with a diverse toolkit of teaching strategies, enabling me to cater to a wide range of learning styles and academic levels. I am passionate about inspiring students to explore the field of psychology and helping them achieve their full potential.
Approach:My teaching approach is centered around creating fun, detailed, and engaging lessons that put the learner at the heart of the experience. I believe that the best learning happens when students are actively involved, so I design my lessons to be interactive and stimulating, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. I aim to bring psychological concepts to life through a variety of activities, discussions, and real-life examples, making complex ideas accessible and relatable. My focus is always on developing the skills my students need to progress—whether that’s critical analysis, application of theories, or effective communication. I strive to build a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring new ideas, asking questions, and challenging themselves. For me, teaching is about guiding each student to reach their potential and helping them to enjoy the journey along the way.
