Experience:I am a qualified and experienced tutor from the UK. I have worked for many years as a tutor online and as an examiner. I have been teaching for the last 10 years and have been a leader of Secondary Maths for the last 4 years.
I know how to get the best out of pupils using research to underpin my teaching. My pupils have improved up to 2 grades in the space of a year when following my direction, guidance, and support.
Approach:My lessons are 45 minutes one-to-one online, and then a 15-minute homework is provided for independent practice. The structure of my lesson is very similar to a school setting: the beginning is a retrieval task, then a skill is taught, and this leads into problem solving and application, which is a huge focus in exams.
