Experience:

I have been teaching both GCSE and IBDP Psychology for 4 years in the UAE. I have developed the course in some schools across the UAE as well. I have consistently been rated very good to outstanding and pride myself on using real-life situations to ensure understanding of content rather than simple memorization. I like to use questioning to challenge student thinking beyond the classroom. With my master's in Psychology and several other courses, I have a wealth of knowledge in Psychology and continue to learn daily. Exam-style questions and practice are key to success, as well as having a deep understanding of mark schemes and rubrics.

Regarding English as a second language, English is my native language, as I am from London, UK. I am trained in Level 5 TEFL to deliver English as a Second Language and have also taught English as a first language.The best way to succeed in ESL is through practice, conversations, listening, and reading. I enjoy developing these skills with my tutees to support their English language development.

Approach:

I plan my lessons according to the students' needs. They are tailored and made to fit to ensure successful learning. In terms of tutoring techniques, practicing past paper questions and exam-style questions are essential. This builds an even greater level of understanding for tutees. Additionally, having a conversation about the content being delivered is another successful way of teaching.
