Experience:I have experience mentoring undergraduate students in a molecular Biology and genetics lab in the United States, where I completed my degree. Additionally, I have a broad perspective on teaching English, as it has been the medium of my education since childhood. My educational journey has taken me through Malaysia, Oman, Egypt, and the United States, reinforcing my belief that no matter where you are from, you can learn the language if you are consistent. This diverse experience allows me to connect with students from various cultures. As a fellow student, I understand that simply lecturing can be boring, so I strive to make lessons engaging and enjoyable, helping students stay focused and relate what they learn to real-world situations.
Approach:Lesson 1: Initial meeting with the student to address areas of confusion, identify weaknesses, and determine what they wish to strengthen. Also includes an assessment of the student’s knowledge level on the subject.
Lesson 2: Discussion and explanation of key concepts.
Lesson 3: Continued discussion and explanation, followed by a Q&A session.
Lesson 4: A short quiz to evaluate the retention and understanding of the material covered.
Based on Quiz results and Student request additional lessons can be taken.
