Experience:With a year of tutoring experience, I have worked with preschool and kindergarten children aged 5-6, as well as Grade 4 students aged 9-10. In my role, I've supported early learners by fostering essential literacy, numeracy, and social skills, creating a strong foundation for their educational journey. With older students, I've focused on developing their critical thinking, comprehension, and problem-solving abilities, guiding them through more complex subjects and study strategies. This hands-on experience has enabled me to adapt my teaching approach to different developmental stages, helping each student grow in confidence and academic success.
Approach:In 1-on-1 tutoring, I tailor my approach to each student's needs. For SEN students, I focus on structured, supportive sessions with visual aids and sensory breaks to enhance engagement. With typically developing students, I prioritize interactive, curiosity-driven learning that strengthens core skills and builds confidence. In both cases, my goal is to foster independence, resilience, and a love for learning.
