Experience:I implore the backward planning method which not only allows me to teach learners what is needed, but also to make the curriculum meet the learners' needs rather than the other way around.
I have over 10 years of experience working as a teacher, both in my home country and in the UAE. In the UAE, I have worked as a Nursery teacher, a behavior therapist, a teaching assistant, a cover teacher, and also an individual learning support assistant, all in the British curriculum in both Sharjah and Dubai. Currently, I work in one of the most sought-after American schools in Dubai.
My belief is that I am blessed with the opportunity to contribute to the future of young presidents, doctors, and scientists through my teaching. My area of expertise is motivating learners to attain and surpass their academic goal expectations. I achieve this by bonding with my students, getting to know them individually, having high expectations for them while maintaining discipline. I believe every learner should see their tutor as a role model and someone they can look up to and share whatever bothers them without the fear of being judged.
Approach:I believe there is no new knowledge, but rather, we are all building on existing knowledge. Therefore, I allow my learners to explore their critical thinking ability, first trying to solve the problem before I then proceed to explain and build on whatever ideas they have linked to the new unit.
