Experience:I have a diverse range of experience as a painter, tutor, and curator. After studying Fine Arts in Seoul, Korea, and Arts Management in England, UK, I worked as a curator in a Korean gallery for 10 years, focusing on visitor-engaged artworks. This role gave me valuable insight into evaluating and selecting high-quality, competitive artworks.
Alongside my curatorial work, I have been tutoring students for 15 years, supporting both hobbyists and those preparing for university exams. My primary focus is on helping exam-prep students develop and refine their technical skills in drawing and painting. At the same time, I am passionate about introducing beginners with no prior experience to the world of art.
Mastering the fundamental techniques of drawing and painting is essential, especially for beginners. I believe that teaching new learners requires a thoughtful and personalized approach to foster their growth from the ground up. My goal is to provide meaningful guidance as they embark on their first artistic journey.
Approach:I offer tutoring at both my studio and the student's location. For exam prep students, I prefer them to come to my cozy studio in Mudon, as I believe it enhances their concentration during lessons. I provide students with a theme and encourage them to create themed artwork on a short-term basis. We can explore various art forms, including drawing, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting.
Each class will be personalized and tailored to the individual’s age and goals. The duration of the lessons will range from 1.5 to 3 hours.
