Experience:I have tutored in both the British Curriculum (including International) and the American Common Core Curriculum. I have prepared students for their exams and helped them make great progress, resulting in excellent outcomes. Currently, I am a Mathematics teacher at Repton Al Barsha in Dubai.
Approach:Firstly, I ensure that my students feel comfortable enough to make mistakes, which allows me to correct misconceptions early on. I focus on building students' confidence in their math skills. For older students who are preparing for exams, we focus on any areas of weakness in the curriculum before focusing on exam practice and allowing students to get used to exam-style questions. I have identified common questions that come up in IGCSE exams and ensure students can do these fluently. For younger students, we can focus on ensuring they are fully confident in the key skills before challenging them and allowing them to reach their full potential.
