Experience:I am an enthusiastic and dedicated primary school teacher from Ireland. My qualification is a Professional Masters in Primary Education, and I have six years of teaching experience, with the last year spent working in Abu Dhabi. I have taught students at each grade level in the primary years, from Kindergarten to grade 6.
During this time, I have had the privilege of working with children from diverse backgrounds, helping them build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking.
My teaching philosophy revolves around creating an engaging, supportive, and student-centered learning environment where each child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles, including hands-on activities and student-led learning opportunities. I believe in fostering curiosity, creativity, and independence in my students, while ensuring that they develop a strong understanding of core concepts. I have a particular strength in teaching foundational skills such as phonics, reading comprehension, and early mathematics, and aim to incorporate the use of concrete materials and ICT whenever possible.
