Experience:Singing teacher who is very freestyle, allowing student to feel it's all about making sounds and relaxing and feeling the music. Students range will expand, they will learn breathing techniques which will allow them to sustain notes and be dynamic in order to sing softly or build up to full power but without shouting. I encourage them to explore adlibbing so that can really mark the song as their own, if that's their aim. I encourage creativity if student wishes to further their own melodies they have created.
Approach:We would begin with 3 or 4 warm-ups and then explore 1 or 2 of our chosen songs. All styles are welcome. We develop these songs throughout the terms and will record their sessions at certain milestone stages for them to hear and track their progress. Warm-ups have good rhythm and backing music so that lessons have an uplifting feel. Students tend to feel happier by the time they've had their lesson, which is great.
