Experience:I have tutored Spanish and Politics to over 25 students for two years now, having given nearly 500 lessons. The students I have taught range in age from 9 to 50. With two degrees in political science and Spanish, I feel that I have expertise in these areas, as well as in my native language of English. In my lessons, I encourage students to be confident in themselves while learning at the same time.
Approach:I usually start by asking the student if they have any specific areas they want to look at. I ask the student to 'blurt' out what they know, and then I help to consolidate that knowledge, adding new information and making notes with them. We then plan the essay together and I ask the student to write a paragraph so I can give them writing tips.
