Experience:I have been teaching Science and A level Chemistry in UK schools for 17 years and have been an examiner for a major exam board for 6 years.
I have held numerous roles within schools, such as Curriculum Coordinator at both KS3 and GCSE, Head of Chemistry, and Deputy Director of Post 16 Studies, to name a few.
Tutoring is something that I have always done alongside teaching, and I now spend 3 days a week tutoring online to students in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, China, and various other countries.
My degree in Forensic Science and experience as an examiner allow me to take a unique approach to my lessons, which students find refreshing and easy to learn from.
I am a firm believer in building confidence in young people and helping them have high aspirations for themselves.
Approach:Through responsive teaching, I adapt lesson content to each student and their needs during every session.
My sessions are highly interactive, with students actively practicing their skills and applying their knowledge throughout.
I have compiled a wide array of resources for students to utilize and assign personalized homework after each lesson.
Group classes are available for £35 per hour for GCSE students and £40 per hour for A level students. Limited 1:1 availability is offered for £65.
I provide brief feedback after each session, outlining what was covered, strengths, and areas for improvement so both parents and students are informed of ways to enhance learning.
My passion lies in Chemistry, and I have helped numerous students achieve and surpass their academic goals, with many pursuing medicine-related subjects at university.
Frequently, I tutor multiple siblings from the same family, as parents often recommend my services to siblings and their friends.
My aim is to assist young individuals in gaining confidence in Science, comprehending difficult concepts, and potentially developing a fondness for the subject along the journey.
