Enrico Lancia graduated in piano at the Bari Conservatory of Music N. Piccinni in Italy in 1986 and he perfected his skills under the guidance of Maestro Franco Medori in Rome. He also attended courses of interpretation and improvement with Bruno Canino, Maria Regina Seidlhofer, and J. Carlos Parreira for solo piano. Additionally, he dedicated time to studying lieder and opera repertoire with Erik Werba, Henny von Walther, Sonja Stenhammar, and Julio Wernicke.
He is actively involved in concert activities in Italy and abroad, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and America. Enrico has performed hundreds of concerts for significant institutions and festivals in solo recitals, with orchestras, and in various chamber ensembles. He has also served as a member of the jury for numerous national musical competitions, and many of his concerts have been broadcasted on national television.
Enrico has performed in several countries around the world, including Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Thailand, Indonesia, Romania, Cuba, the USA, Guatemala, Canada, El Salvador, Finland, Egypt, and Poland. He has played for Italian Embassies, Italian Cultural Institutes, and other important musical institutions.
In addition to his piano career, Enrico also successfully pursued orchestra conducting, studying with N. Giuliani and V. Sirenko. He has conducted various orchestras such as the Kiev National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bacau Symphony Orchestra, the Timisoara Symphony Orchestra, and the Iblea Symphonic Orchestra, receiving praise from both the public and critics. His repertoire includes Italian Operas, symphonic, and chamber music.
Enrico also focuses on musical composition, and in 2001, his lyrics based on the poetry of S. Quasimodo were performed and broadcasted nationally for the first time. From 1990 to 2013, he served as the artistic director of the Amici della Musica Association in Vittoria, Italy, and later became its president. Enrico organized significant concert and theatre seasons, operas, classical and modern ballet performances, and directed successful television programs for various channels.
Enrico has taught at several Conservatories of Music in Italy, including Parma, Cuneo, Vibo Valentia, Trapani, Cagliari, Pescara. Currently, he is a full professor at the prestigious Palermo Conservatory of Music A. Scarlatti. He has authored and published two books on music theory, released in 2020 and 2022.
