Experience:I have been working as a Teaching Assistant at Al Rabeeh School for almost 10 years and have experience in tutoring for about 4-5 years. I have worked with early learning kids to Primary kids during my time as a Teaching Assistant. I supervise a small group, providing special support and assistance in learning phonics, handwriting, and early math. I also support in preparing learning materials, displays, and other presentations to enhance the comprehension of students during class. Sometimes, I replace the Teacher in their absence and handle basic administrative tasks. I also work with students with disabilities, assisting Special Education Teachers in providing help with their everyday tasks.
Approach:It depends on the age level of the kids. As tutoring is mostly done face to face or one on one, I usually start by developing the kids' foundational skills. In phonics, I typically begin with sounds and blending, then move on to writing sentences. I provide guided practice for their math skills and help build self-confidence in their abilities. I make sure they make great progress in the end.
