Experience:With a deep passion for teaching that began at the age of 17, I have been dedicated to helping younger children develop their English language and literacy skills. During my second year of university, I was involved in a program that prepared Chinese students for the TOEFL exam, which honed my ability to teach complex material in an accessible way. I also had the opportunity to spend a summer in Budapest, where I taught English at a camp for young people using unconventional and creative methods.
I am highly qualified, having completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Cambridge and my postgraduate studies at UCLA. My approach to teaching is student-centered, focusing on the individual needs and potential of each student. I believe that every student can excel with the right guidance and support, and I am committed to providing that. My strengths lie in my ability to connect with students, make learning enjoyable, and help them build confidence in their abilities. I begin by setting clear, achievable goals for each session and long-term objectives that align with the student’s academic needs and personal aspirations. My lessons are structured, yet flexible, allowing for adjustments based on the student’s progress and feedback.
My tutoring techniques are interactive and student-centered. I use a variety of methods to keep students engaged, such as incorporating games, real-life scenarios, and multimedia resources into the lessons.
