Qualification:Have done Psychology since GCSE level up to A Level
Experience:I have not formally taught anyone, however, I have helped teach my classmate as we prepared for our final A Level exams. We covered all topics from paper 1 to paper 3 and focused on all AOs (AO1, AO2, AO3), as well as specific techniques to tackle exam questions. Despite not having teaching experience, I understand how to approach teaching others because I used to struggle with psychology during my GCSEs. I have tailored my revision techniques to accommodate a variety of learning methods that I believe can benefit a wide group of students.
I have experience with AQA Psychology AS Level/A Level, which is what I will be teaching, and I am willing to learn new chapters for paper 3. I have completed sections on Forensic Psychology, Schizophrenia, and Relationships. I am able to assist you with anything you are struggling with, whether it be content, application, evaluations, or exam methods, and I am adaptable to your learning style.
Approach:I will be as flexible as I can to meet your needs. In the first session, I will try to get to know you and determine which learning methods suit you best. It's okay if you are unsure of your learning style as we can figure that out together! Moving forward, we will identify what you struggle with the most, and I will tailor lessons to focus on those areas.
In the second session, I will provide you with a short "exam" that covers all necessary sections, with an emphasis on your weaknesses. Don't feel intimidated by this! There is no pressure to score highly; it is simply to help me pinpoint areas for improvement and better tailor my lessons for you.
Please keep in mind that my lessons will not necessarily follow a strict structure, as flexibility is crucial in learning. I aim to provide a comfortable learning experience to hopefully help you enjoy learning Psychology even more!
