Experience:

I served as a Primary Learning Support Assistant at Jumeira Baccalaureate School for one academic year. In this role, I supported the learning of students with special educational needs across grades 1-5, occasionally extending assistance to secondary and Pre-K students as required. My responsibilities included providing in-class support and conducting individualized language and numeracy sessions at the students' pace.

Furthermore, I have experience teaching English to students who have English as a second language. Additionally, I have tutored privately, focusing on English and Mathematics for students aged between 5 and 10 years old.

Approach:

My tutoring approach is tailored to the curriculum and the specific needs of each student. I recognize that not all students benefit from the same teaching techniques, so I differentiate my instruction accordingly. Typically, my lessons involve working through questions collaboratively, applying the student's existing knowledge, and then addressing any gaps in understanding.

I ensure to utilize resources that match the student's level, particularly making lessons enjoyable and accessible for primary students. During my time as a learning support assistant at 19 years old, I found that my age allowed me to relate well to the students and establish a level of trust. This connection facilitated effective support in their learning and ensured they stayed on track academically.
