Experience:I have taught in the UAE for 2 years but have worked in education for twelve years. I have had the opportunity to work in various leadership roles within education, which has helped me become a better practitioner in the classroom. I am from the UK and am very passionate about every aspect of English. I have taught students of all abilities and have achieved many successes related to exam results.
Approach:My teaching style focuses on creating a safe environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning to improve their abilities through self-reflection and exploration. Breaking down difficult tasks and modeling high expectations are crucial during my sessions to achieve the best outcomes. Combining academic strategies with broader learning opportunities enables students to apply their tutoring sessions beyond the classroom. I strive to connect learning between sessions so it is not limited to one session per week. Out-of-session tasks will be set to foster independence and fluidity between each topic and session.
