Experience:I have tutored children aged 3 to 6, focusing on building foundational skills in both English and Math. In English, I helped develop phonics skills, blend sounds to form CVC words, and improve writing and reading abilities. In Math, I guided students through number recognition and formation, shapes, addition, subtraction, and fractions. My goal was to create a supportive and stimulating environment that fostered a love for learning and helped each child reach their full potential.
Approach:In English, I may use phonics games, flashcards, and storytelling. For CVC words, I will use visual aids and sound blending exercises to help children connect sounds with letters. For writing, tracing activities, and reading is encouraged with picture books and guided reading sessions to build confidence and comprehension. In Math, hands-on activities such as counting objects, number puzzles and manipulatives like counters will making it easier for children to understand.
