Experience:

I have been a science teacher for the past 17 years, with the last 8 years spent teaching in the UAE. My experience includes teaching the UK national curriculum and preparing students for GCSE examinations, as well as extensive experience with the IB curriculum, particularly in Biology. Additionally, I have served as a Biology Curriculum Leader for many years, overseeing all aspects of the GCSE and IB Biology courses delivered by our department. I am an expert in the IA (Internal Assessment) process for IB Science students and have access to a wide range of resources to support student learning.

Approach:

I meticulously follow the specification content to ensure comprehensive and in-depth coverage of the assessed material. To aid student understanding of complex processes, I consistently utilize various tools such as images, prompts, and real-world applications. Additionally, I incorporate practice exam materials and verbal questioning to assess each student's comprehension. This assessment informs our learning process, guiding the determination of the next steps.
