Experience:

With 8 years of teaching experience, including 2 years in an SEN provision in the UK and 6 years in the UAE, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. As a Year 2 teacher, I specialize in phonics and early years maths, and I'm well-equipped to teach all primary ages. Having served as a maths lead for 2 years, I have a strong foundation in primary subjects and a keen understanding of curriculum requirements. My teaching philosophy revolves around making learning fun and engaging for children. I believe that when students enjoy the learning process, they are more likely to actively participate and retain information. To achieve this, I incorporate interactive activities, games, and hands-on experiences into my lessons, ensuring that each session is exciting and memorable for the students. By fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, I aim to inspire a love for learning in every child I teach.

Approach:

I plan lessons based on the children's needs and interests. I will first assess the child to identify weaknesses and gaps and get to know the child's likes and what motivates them. The lessons will then be a sequence of activities to help develop skills. I also listen to parents and ask them to check in with their class teacher to identify areas of support needed. I use a range of games, tasks, worksheets, and online activities to help children develop their skills
