Experience:For the past seven years. I have an excellent knowledge and experience of the current curriculum of all major exam boards (AQA, Cambridge, Edexcel and OCR) and teach both Combined and Triple iGCSE Sciences. I have taught many individuals intensively for their GCSE and A-levels in the run up to exams. I also have extensive experience with university students of all academic levels and abilities as well as have a good working knowledge and experience of university marking and assessment systems. I offer guidance to undergraduate assignments specifically helping and advising on laboratory-based and library-based dissertations; evaluating scientific data as well as writing reports / essay
Approach:I believe in the effectiveness of face-to-face tuition for students, as it provides a personalized and interactive learning experience, allowing for better understanding and comprehension.My style of teaching is very flexible and I always teach at a pace that the student would be comfortable with. Took time to understand student's unique strengths and opportunities . Offered feedback using positive reinforcement techniques. Taught general test- taking strategies and and specific concepts in biology, and chemistry . Monitored students progress throughout the academic year. Teach efficient testing techniques and methods for managing stress. Created lesson plans , review worksheets and practice tests to prepare students for weekly tests Conduct timed practice exams to help students feel comfortable with the testing process. Reviewed materials assigned by student's teachers and helped students complete homework . Communicate with parents about student's progress.
