Experience:

With over 16 years of teaching experience, I have served as an English Language and Literature educator in esteemed institutions such as Wycherley International in Colombo, Sri Lanka, as well as online platforms. Holding a BA in English and English Language Teaching, I am currently pursuing a Masters in Linguistics. My expertise extends to various aspects, including grammar, spelling, and comprehension, and I am well-versed in preparing students for IELTS, holding certification as an IELTS trainer from IDP (Australia). Additionally, my achievements include winning multiple awards for Creative Writing and being published in the field.

Approach:

All lessons are meticulously planned with a keen consideration for each student's individual abilities. The student's proficiency level is initially assessed, and lessons are then customized to meet their specific needs. A crucial component of my teaching approach involves regular assessments to enhance the student's skills in spelling, grammar, and other areas. Mini tests will be administered after the completion of each unit, and additional worksheets will be provided to reinforce the lessons learned and monitor progress. All lessons will be conducted online, ensuring a flexible and accessible learning experience.
