PGCE in primary education (specialising in 3-7 years) with qualified teacher status

Experience:

I have teaching experience in Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3, with four years of teaching in England and an additional two years in Dubai. The majority of my teaching background involves working with children who speak English as an additional language, which is particularly advantageous in Dubai given its large expat community. My specialization lies in Early Years/Keystage 1, with a focus on Year 1 over four years. I bring extensive experience in teaching phonics, reading, writing, and math, along with a particular passion for fostering creative writing skills.

Approach:

My teaching approach is centered on creating engaging, fun, and memorable lessons for children to ensure their success in retaining and building upon learned skills. I emphasize creativity, incorporating real-life experiences to make activities meaningful. Additionally, I believe in the importance of repetition and memorization techniques, recognizing their significant role in enhancing children's knowledge and skills.
