Experience:I bring a wealth of educational experience accumulated with over 8 years in senior leadership roles. My first senior leadership role was as an Assistant Headteacher for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (children aged 3 to 7 years old) in London and then I continued this journey in Dubai as the Assistant Headteacher for Early Years at one of the largest British Curriculum schools in the UAE.
My professional background includes 20 years as a specialist in Early Years Education which includes, not only teaching, but also developing other teachers to enhance their practice even further. I have designed seminars for MA students, featured as an example of exemplary Phonics teaching in training videos in London and presented at conferences such as the Nursery World conference in London and the BSME conference in May 2023, to name but a few of my achievements to date.
I am passionate about supporting young children learn in a way that's engaging, fun, supportive and leaves them striving to be the best that they can be.
Approach:My teaching philosophy revolves around personalised and tailored approaches, addressing each child's unique needs. I believe in adapting lessons dynamically to make them enjoyable, engaging, and challenging. Assessment plays a pivotal role in shaping the learning journey, guiding the direction of subsequent lessons. I aim to make learning relatable, adjusting my methods to ensure children can readily connect with the subject matter. But, most importantly, I love working with children and having the privilege of seeing each and every child I work with grow, flourish & succeed in their learning.
