Experience:

I have a Master of Education as well as a US teaching license. I have experience teaching in the American as well as British Curriculums. I have taught English/ESL for over 15 years in the classroom and specialize in teaching reading comprehension and writing fluency strategies. My main focus is on differentiating instruction to meet my student's individual needs.

Approach:

My lessons utilize effective, research-backed teaching practices. Lessons follow a 4-stage cycle: 1-Assessment to diagnose individual learning needs. 2-Instruction delivery. Instruction meets students exactly where they are in their understanding of the material and builds towards mastery. 3-Practice with the material, gradually providing students with more opportunities to work independently. 4-Assessment to see if students have mastered the material or require additional instruction.
