Experience:

I've been tutoring math, science, and foreign languages for about 12 years now. I started tutoring only part-time during my university years, but gradually moved more towards full-time hours as the years passed. I also have about nine years of regular classroom teaching experience, six of which were in China and the other three in America.

Approach:

My first guideline both for tutoring and regular teaching is that "Enthusiasm is contagious!" I believe that learning is done best when students enjoy the process, and I believe that often it's much of the enthusiasm that the teacher has for teaching that affects the student's enthusiasm for learning. Apart from that, I think it's also important that students make an effort to be communicative. In my lessons, I usually find that students have a fairly good time during lessons.
