US Mathematics PhD, SAT 99th percentile, teaches math and English test prep to adolescents and young adults

Experience:

I have 10 years of university mathematics teaching experience plus 7 concurrent years of experience tutoring children grades 3-12. I have taught students from the US, Europe, UAE, Kuwait, and China, and am familiar with the Singapore and Russian math curriculums. Having scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT college entrance exam, I am well prepared to assist you in editing English essays. I always try to cultivate a back-and-forth, give-and-take dynamic between me and each student. Three years of online teaching experience teaching math and English test prep from age 9 to age 21.

Approach:

I have a large collection of worksheets and enrichment material. I will use these and, when necessary, produce new material tailored to your individual needs. We will use Zoom and collaborate on the whiteboard. We may also use Desmos and Wolfram Alpha. When working on essays, we can use Google Docs. My short-term goal is to help students refine their technical skills in mathematics and English. My long-term goal is to help them strengthen their understanding and boost their confidence.
