Experience:

I have been a graduate teaching assistant for the Masters of Science in Robotics program at Heriot-Watt University since I graduated. My teaching style varies in 1 to 1 teaching based on the capacity of the student to focus, communicate, and reciprocate. This allows the student to develop a deeper understanding of the content instead of surface-level memorization. I also develop a positive association with the students so that they look forward to learning the subject beyond our sessions.

Approach:

Using third-party applications as course material, I actively support students' learning by tackling their struggles and explaining new concepts. Secondarily, I make sure to boost their confidence with positive affirmations and help them develop a growth mindset. I create a positive and supportive environment where they feel motivated to conquer any challenges. It's not just about improving their grades, but also empowering them to become independent learners and achieve long-term success.
