Experience:

I am an Assistant Headteacher of Teaching and Learning with 8 years of educational experience. I have taught a wide range of exam boards and have a proven track record of Outstanding progress an attainment. Working as Head of Science through school allowed me to have a deepened understanding of transitions across Key stages. This in-depth knowledge allows me to be able to assess students prior learning in order to create a individualised plan moving forward to best support their needs.

Approach:

I adjust my lessons to suit the needs of my students by taking time to build a rapport with them ensuring confidence in understanding their strengths and areas of development. I use a variety of assessment methods to measure progress and inform next steps. I ensure I set realistic goals that are attainable to motivate students. Furthermore, I provide honest feedback to parents and carers regarding the students to ensure we work as a team to develop them further and ensure targets are being met.
