Experience:

I have been a qualified teacher for over 5 years and began tutoring while completing my teacher training. Experienced in tutoring for GCSE Maths (results of students tutored for 2022 exams were 8 and 9) and also in scholarship and entrance exams for senior schools. In the classroom I have taught children aged 7years-13years, as well as working with younger children in my teaching role. Also able to tutor English/Science/Humanities for primary aged students.

Approach:

Focused on individual needs: Exam focus - revision of key topics, talking through strategies and methods for answering questions, understanding the requirements to pick up marks from the mark scheme. Maths confidence - games and fun activities based on numbers and mathematical areas of weakness to improve children’s confidence and attitudes towards Maths. General primary - reading comprehensions, discussions of texts, pre teaching or recapping work from the classroom.
