Experience:

I am a British teacher with over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience. UK certified Secondary and primary School Teacher with a post graduate in Mathematics Teaching. I specialise in the British curriculum and the new 9-1 specification; how subjects are proportioned, the kinds of questions asked, and the estimated grade limits for both the foundation and the higher levels.

Approach:

I think students need to see how interesting, exciting and enjoyable mathematics can be.I embrace the philosophy of Mike Hughes as he says lessons are for learning. It's not always because something is demonstrated that students have understood. I plan to increase the certainty that learning can take place through teaching for understanding. I feel it's important in mathematics that we don't just teach a system, but the ability to break down a question, so that a deeper understanding takes place
