Bachelor of Social Science Degree (Double Major) in Sociology & Social Policy

Experience:

To give you a better insight about myself I have been tutoring for the past 6 years with children of all ages and different needs and learning styles. I have tutored children in English, Sociology, Politics and Social Studies. I have worked with young people aged 11-18 in a trauma-informed unit that detains young people under a high court order. In this role, I helped young people in their learning and secure them a vocation or college placement for when they move on from secure care.

Approach:

I want to make the most of my time with children and ensure that they are confident to excel in their learning. I usually make a dynamic assessment of the young persons learning style and creature a learning programme catered to their needs rather it be using electronic systems for visual learners or making audio for auditory learners. I have worked a lot with children with the Autism Disorder Spectrum and created many different ways to help their learning in the classroom and studying at home.
