Experience:

I have over 5 years experience tutoring in the UK and Internationally, teaching both KS3,KS4 and A level. My experience spreads across both English Language and Literature, with experience preparing students for their GCSE, IGCSE and A level exams. I have taught and tutored students who study under a variety. My aim is to develop students understanding and confidence when accessing English.

Approach:

My tutoring technique entails first of all building an understanding of my student's strengths and weaknesses. I generally want to know how a student feel about English as a subject - a positive or negative outlook can inform a lot about a student. I then seek to view how student's comprehend and analyse text then get them to write. My reasoning for this approach is so a student considers their view before expressing it technically, in essay or exam form.
