Bachelor of Education - Kindergarten and Elementary

Experience:

I hold a Bachelors of Education from McGill University. I graduated with a 3.98/4.0 GPA (top 5% of faculty). I have tutored primary and kindergarten students for over 7 years and taught in primary schools for 3 years. I have experience with Canadian curriculum, and am familiar with both UK and American curriculum. I have worked with children ranging from ages 4 to 12. My favourite subject to teach is English including reading, writing, phonics, grammar and spelling.

I am committed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for life-long learning. I understand that every student learns in their own unique way. I truly personalize my lessons and target student's strengths while building up their weaknesses. I thrive off of creating fun and engaging ways to make learning memorable. I plan hands-on lessons with props rather than simple work sheets. I incorporate games, songs and art in my lessons while always meeting the learning objectives.
