Experience:

I have been teaching art for almost 6 years with a focus on drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media crafts, as well as art history. I have a PreK-Grade 12 US teaching license with a concentration in painting. One of my favorite things about teaching is the opportunity to show students the power of art and its ability to help people feel better through self expression. I also have a TEFL certification and have experience teaching English as a second language around the world.

Approach:

I like to ensure that lessons are very client driven in that they have the opportunity to learn skills and topics they are interested in. This ensures that the client is more focused and committed to learning during the lesson. Additionally, I like to create well rounded lessons that include art styles, artists, techniques, history, and discussion of work so that clients are exposed to all sides of the art world and are better able to make connections with what they are creating.
