Experience:

I am an A level Psychology teacher with 4 years teaching experience. I have taught both the AQA and Edexcel specification. I have obtained excellent results with 80% of my students achieving A*-B grades. I provide useful resources such as revision booklets to help students streamline their revision and teach students revision techniques that help them retain information better.

Approach:

A level Psychology is a very content-heavy subject. For students to do well they must retain a large amount of information. For this reason, I begin my sessions with retrieval practice. I then spend a short time clarifying any misconceptions / addressing any gaps in knowledge. Students also need a good understanding of exam technique, half of the session will be spent breaking down exam questions, and applying knowledge to new contexts.
