Experience:

I have been teaching primary education for 5 years. I am a UK qualified teacher and have in depth knowledge of the British curriculum. I have taught Year 5 and Year 3 previously. I am currently teaching Grade 2 in an American Chartered school in Abu Dhabi.

Approach:

I tailor my lesson with the child in mind. I will always make the teacher input, resources accessible to the child. I use the focused instruction approach with my children. I allow enough time for fluency and then challenge the child with problem solving. I use several examples and explain the skill before allowing fluency independently. I also use questioning with the child so that I can acknowledge if he or she has understood.
