First Class Honours Music Degree from The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick and the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Experience:

I have experience teaching piano, guitar, violin, and singing to students of all ages. My background is in classical, modern and Irish music which allows my students to explore a variety of genres and discover their passion. I have taught music in special schools and hospitals for elderly patients therefore I have experience with all learning abilities. I help students reach their full potential in an encouraging environment which allows them to enhance their creativity and talents.

Approach:

It is important for students to understand the basics of music theory and the instrument which they are learning. I have a practical style of teaching involving persistence and teamwork. I plan my lessons around the ability of each individual, ensuring basics such as posture and notation are perfected. Aural learning enhances attention to detail, concentration and listening ability. My approach is interactive and supportive with the hope of gaining confidence and having a lifelong passion.
