Experience:

I have been tutoring middle school kids in almost all subjects mainly at the time of exams where mostly revisions and practice is required. For specific subject help I mostly take feedbacks from both parents and the student themselves and change my teaching style if required accordingly. I have given free demo classes and afterwards if the student is willing and comfortable, the classes are continued.

Approach:

My approach is usually starts with discussions where I usually look at where the student stands and how much he can grasp in one class, accordingly schedules can be made where I would usually start with an overview of the topic with additional discussions on the topic going forward with details and practice and finally summarization and a test. For each class my students are required to right a summery of what they have learned. Again I am open to feedback from parents and students.
