Ba Hons in History and PGCE Primary with Maths Specialism

Experience:

I am a motivated, qualified teacher that is passionate about helping children of all ages and abilities. During my PGCE, I specialised in maths as it is one of my favourite subjects to teach. Likewise, I have fantastic subject knowledge in English. I also have a passion for history which resulted in me achieving a 2:1 BA in History. My strengths are in maths, and english therefore I can cater to the needs of a vast range of children.

Approach:

I ensure that learning is personalised for each child. For example, I include pictoral and practical resources to relate learning to the real world as I have found that this usually deepens learning whilst keeping children interested. Even if they struggle, I explain questions in different ways or providing additional resources. When planning lessons, I consolidate learning first before moving on to new objectives which are based on the curriculum taught at each child's school.
