Experience:

I am currently in my third year of teaching. I attained my undergraduate and postgraduate degree in Manchester, United Kingdom. I have experience teaching in outstanding schools here in UAE and in the UK. Before moving to Dubai I taught online tutor sessions for year 11 pupils. I follow a mastery style approach to teaching and learning, not only solidifying the basics, but delving deeper to acquire full understanding of a concept.

Approach:

Firstly, I will check your child’s prior knowledge on a particular topic, efficiently. Once gaps in knowledge are found, we will spend time reaffirming the basic knowledge, before moving on to more challenging questions. Discussions and questioning are key to gaining a deeper understanding, combined with practising methods. After the lesson, I hope pupils have thought about mathematics in a new way and have confidence in how it can be applied.
