Experience:

Fully qualified teacher in my 5th year of teaching. I believe in a creative approach to learning, making learning fun so that a child enjoys their learning. It's important to help a child gain confidence in themselves and alongside great academic results, a child's wellbeing and mindset is just as important. My original degree was in law which I converted to a PGCE. I like to know the children I teach, which helps me make their learning real for them.

Approach:

I would first of all perform an initial assessment of the child to gain an understanding of what is required to enhance their learning. I would use this to create a plan, ensuring parents are happy also. I would include a starter activity each session and then get into the main teaching. Each lesson would written work to evidence progression through the sessions. I would then report back to parents either via face to face or by email to explain what we did and the work carried out.
